Neck Pain, Mid Back Pain, Low Back Pain, Hip Pain and Leg Pain Relief

Are you waking up stiff every morning? Is sitting at your desk too long giving you pain and stiffness in your spine? Are you tossing in bed and not getting a restful nights sleep? Do you have ongoing headaches or jaw tightness?

Would you like to have better range of motion, natural relief without surgery or medicaiton, or play comfortably with more energy with your kids or grandchildren?

Neck, either upper neck pain or lower neck pain, upper back pain including pain between the shoulders, low back pain, hip pain and stiffness are some of the most common complaints I see in my patients at McCooey Chiropractic at 1755 Carling Ave, in Ottawa, ON.

The Causes and Effects

There is no single cause for back pain and generally, it is a combination of upper and lower back symptoms. Upper neck conditions can benefit from chiropractic care as would lower lumbar conditions. Women tend to have upper back pain and men associate more with low back pain. Your particular problem will depend on where in your body you carry stress and the type of activities you most often do.

Often, my patients who have back pain experience other issues such as constipation, reflux, indigestion and irregular bowel movements. The nerves from your low back connect to your intestines and fertility system, which means they can cause a broad range of different problems. By addressing your pain, you may find that your body’s systems can begin working as they should!

Back Pain Can Begin Early in Life

Increasingly, children are suffering from back pain. They’re beginning athletics earlier in life, carrying heavy backpacks and are looking down at their phones/computers constantly.

Posture is a common concern among children and adults. When you lean forward toward your computer or to look at your phone or tablet, it stresses your back.

Techniques That Will Help You

My chiropractic techniques are extremely gentle, making it appropriate for everyone in your family. If you have pain, the last thing you want to do is climb on and off an adjusting table. We can adjust you seated, standing or in motion. Many back pain injuries are the result of a specific form of movement.  I can adjust you while you’re performing that movement for a more effective approach.

The Take Home: Exercises and Ergonomics

As a part of your care, I will discuss different aspects of your lifestyle. Nearly all forms of back pain can benefit from specific exercises to strengthen your problem area and making sure that you have a proper chair and computer set-up is essential.
